RANDOM NATURE

RANDOM NATURE

Exhibitions are complex, concerted actions created like the works themselves from one simple idea that undergoes on its path unexpected twists and turns.

Keith Tyson is drawn to generative systems, how things come into being, and I still have the first sketch which was the starting point for all this work. It is no accident that his first solo show in Italy reflects the path that has in recent years led the artist to develop, from Nature Painting, Random Nature. These latest works make explicit and visible that hidden part of research, which normally belongs only to the artist. Lines, angles and curves drawn freehand, finely in pencil or with a firmer stroke, have the whiff of human research, explanations for a life in which only starting and ending points are certain.
